Mr. Porat joined Kohlberg & Associates in 2004, and has been Senior Vice President of the company since 2006. In this capacity, he is responsible for most of the day-to-day operations of K&A (in North America) and is directly involved in all client engagements.
Mr. Porat is typically the primary contact for new clients during the data gathering and preliminary analysis stages of each project, and works closely with Mr. Kohlberg in preparing the final report and contract negotiations.
During his time with K&A, Mr. Porat has played key roles in 45 client engagements, representing over $850 billion in aggregate assets. These studies include: General Motors Asset Management, Los Angeles County ERA, AMVESCAP, William Blair Funds, State of Georgia OTFS, Calvert Group Funds, Princeton University, Chicago Teachers, ELCA Board of Pensions, Chicago Municipal Employees, Eli Lilly, Partners HealthCare System, Hewlett Foundation, Chicago Policemen, Alameda County ERA, The California Endowment, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, EDS Corporation, SA Funds/Loring Ward, Chicago Laborers, Alaska Electrical Trust Funds, Petro-Canada and San Joaquin County ERA.
Mr. Porat attained his bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) in Government, Diplomacy and Strategy from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya in 2004. |
